About PlayaFoot.com

PlayaFoot.com is my website of fire and Burning Man photos. Burning Man is a fire arts festival (with lots of absurdist art, bizarre activities, and general fun) that happens in the Black Rock Desert every year around Labor Day. The Black Rock Desert, aka "the playa", is a salt flat (evaporated lake bed) known for dusty and hot conditions. Camping conditions are uncomfortable, but many camps opt for extravagant living -- with porta potties above and beyond what the festival provides, showers, and hot cooking. I originally camped with Bioluminati, and most recently with camp Dance Dance Immolation. I took many photos of mud, feet and boots over the years. One of my fire photos is being used as the cover art for the album Dark Fire by British band Turin Brakes. Contact me about photo sales.
